The Metropolitan Cathedral “Nativity of Christ” is the main Orthodox church in Chișinău and a symbol of the city. Built in the 19th century, it stands out with its classical architecture, imposing dome, and serene interior adorned with icons. Nearby rises the bell tower, an iconic landmark reconstructed after 1990. The entire ensemble is set within the Cathedral Park, a pleasant green space with wide alleys, benches, and fountains, popular with both locals and visitors. Despite being in the city center, the area offers a calm and relaxing atmosphere.
