Naslavcea is a unique geographical destination in the Republic of Moldova, known as the northernmost village in the country. Perched on a hill and surrounded by rolling landscapes, it feels more like a mountain village than a typical lowland settlement. The area is famous for its dramatic views over the Dniester River, limestone slopes, and unspoiled nature. One of Naslavcea’s most iconic sights is the Heart Island, a naturally formed, forest-covered island shaped like a heart, considered one of the most beautiful islands on the Dniester. Nearby, visitors can also discover the Blue Lake, a turquoise-colored lake formed in a former quarry. The combination of water, hills, and silence makes Naslavcea a hidden gem for nature lovers, photographers, and explorers.
Naslavcea is located about 240 km from Chișinău and is best reached by car. Tourist infrastructure is limited, which helps preserve its wild and authentic character. Some areas are close to the border zone, so access restrictions may apply in certain spots.
